Hebei has launched a special inspection on the quality and safety of Electric Bicycle products

Supervise and guide the production and sales of E Bikes throughout the province to fulfill their main responsibilities and obligations, and to produce and sell Electric Bicycles that meet national standards in accordance with laws and regulations; Thoroughly investigate the potential quality and safety issues of electric bicycles and related products, crack down on illegal activities such as assembling electric bicycles, dismantling or changing the speed limit devices of electric bicycles, modifying components such as electric motors and batteries, and installing car canopies; Strengthen the quality and safety supervision of electric bicycles and their components, and enhance consumer satisfaction with the quality and safety of Electric Bicycle products.

Regulators will conduct inspections on sellers of Electric Bicycles and their component products. The main inspection for Electric Bicycle sellers is whether the relevant certificates are complete, whether they have fulfilled the obligation of purchase inspection and acceptance, and whether the electric bicycle products sold (including imported products) have passed mandatory product certification. The main inspection for sellers of Electric Bike parts is whether they operate according to the license, whether they have established a purchase acceptance system and a ledger, etc.
