E Bike fires, a year-on-year decrease of about 81.3%. The rectification action has achieved phased results.
On the 25th, Wang Tianrui, the first level commander of the Fire Supervision Department of the National Fire and Rescue Bureau, made the above statement at a regular press conference.
Wang Tianrui introduced that since the launch of the rectification action, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the State Administration for Market Regulation have formulated and improved the standard system for
Electric Bicycles. The vehicle safety technical specifications currently being solicited for opinions have proposed some improvement measures for aspects that the public is concerned about, such as body materials, endurance, pedal settings, and vehicle weight.
In terms of charging facility construction, since the launch of the rectification action, more than 7 million new charging ports of various types have been added nationwide. At the same time, the National Development and Reform Commission and the State Administration for Market Regulation issued a notice requiring that the electricity price for charging ports in residential areas be implemented according to the residential electricity price, which is reduced by half compared to the original commercial electricity price. Currently, over 270000 residential communities have implemented this policy.
In terms of cracking down on illegal modification, various regions and departments have jointly cracked down on the illegal modification interest chain, removed 6823 suspected illegal modification product links, handled 61000 cases, investigated and dealt with 3473 "black workshops" involved in illegal modification, and confiscated more than 20000 illegally modified batteries. At the same time, the specialized team is coordinating the establishment of an accident tracing and investigation mechanism, and will hold accountable for product quality, illegal modifications, and other issues exposed in the accident, forcing manufacturers to improve product quality.
In addition, public security organs in various regions have fully implemented license plate management for Electric Bicycles, and have registered 227 million Electric Bicycles with license plates. The relevant authorities have specifically included Electric Bicycles in the scope of trade in, and supporting policies have been formulated in various regions. Currently, this work is being steadily implemented.
